I can't help but think they shouldn't have restarted this game tonight. I get that Erikson has asked them to but the Danish players can't be in a good head space for it.

Yeh odd decision, surely a rematch another day based on what happened.

The reports I saw all said the players wanted to continue, so if they are asked and all are up for it then that's the decision to go with. However, I can't help but think they had been affected, given how they played in the second half. The most important thing is that Eriksen is ok and looks to be on the way back to a good condition.

They weren't asked - really clever spin from UEFA. Given two options, finish on the night or come back and start again at noon the following day. The players picked the lesser of two evils, and UEFA got to say the players chose.

That’s bad from UEFA then - there’s still plenty of time to get the game played in the tournament, they could easily have found a time next week to play, surely.

The truth about this is all coming out now. A third option was to forfeit the game 3-0. It seems the majority of the players did not want to continue but obviously felt that they had to (under the circumstances). The manager feels that they should not have gone ahead with the game.  Casper S. has visited him at the Rigshospital and maybe others. It is a hospital I know well having had a friend in there for a while when I lived in Copenhagen. He is in good hands. Incidentally the hospital is just across the park fron Parken (the stadium).

All the best Erik, speedy recovery.

It’s got the best heart specialists in Denmark too so good that he’s there. As you say in good hands. May be a while before they work out the cause.
