  1. Some people on here must have been eating carrots all week. I couldn’t even see the ball most of the time let alone who was actually playing it. We didn’t win so some people have to dig out a player or two. Keeps them happy I suppose.

  2. It was interesting to see how well Accrington Stanley were doing on their push for promotion from League 1 on watching last nights game. Really enjoyed the football on display & the fact that they had up to last night, only used some 14 players, coupled with the fact that a lot of the squad had been brought from lower league, due to their low budget. Really moved the ball around in dangerous areas & not frightened to have a pop at goal from any of the forward players. They interviewed cricket legend David Lloyd (Bumble) before the game, a very knowledgeable Accy's fan who say

  3. Potential upset on the cards, Chorley 1-0 up at home to Derby. Granted the task made easier by the absence of a Derby 1st team, but they were still favourites. On a side note, i normally want non-league sides to get as far as possible in the cup and always root for them, butI hope Boreham Wood get smashed by Millwall.

  5. Just bought the stream, costs me alot less than it would have if i actually could go to the game. Looking forward to a day inside watching the boys hopefully get off to a good start to 2021. Come on shaymen

  6. Above all, it appears that Wild isn’t having the difficulties in bringing in new players that Fullarton, Heath and Harvey had, which is a testament to him and his coaching career. Most of the players we’ve brought in under Wild have been solid professionals. The main problem this generates is having very few players who’ll be going into the annals of Halifax Town folklore as comically inept, which is a fundamental part of watching Town. If the game takes place today, I think we’ll be enjoying the sight of two budding professionals.

  7. Shaymen.net edition of GuessWho. Could be a best seller! I’m a 26 year old Shayman, seen my fair share of absolute dross Town times. I remember Morecambe away watching Michael Twiss tear us apart and town fans arguing in the stands at how bad we were, the year we went under. In stark contrast, yes, I am happy today with a ‘mediocre’ point away in them conditions. We have a manager who has openly admitted his goal is to get us into the football league, and I believe he knows how to. We have our most exciting side in years filled with quality and a good blend of youth and experience. Wild

  8. Unlike some contributors to these threads who obviously know each other, I dont know anyone who contributes, well I may do, but I dont know who they are by their logos, and for various reasons I prefer to keep my name private, nothing sinister but I like the anonymity it affords me. But what I do like trying to work out from peoples threads is how old they are or which decade they fall into. Some of us have made it clear by saying who our favourite players have been or our favourite Town team. But there are one or two comments on here this evening from one of the regular contributors and he's

  9. Win at home, pick up valuable points away in scrappy awful conditions like today. I’ll settle for that!

  16. Aye, that can be frustrating right enough. But at least you were sat at home rather than clinging onto a drainpipe.😊

  18. All points considered, I'm happy enough with the draw. Away from home in crap conditions with effectively 3 new lads in the team ( I'm including Chadwick) lets take it and move on. Lets just hope we've got the gremlins out of the system before Hartlepool on Tuesday because they are going well at the moment, 3 - 1 win today so they're gonna be coming full of confidence on the night.

  19. Not a bad point overall. Amuses me how some people are having a pop at the performance/individuals as the game was practically unwatchbale. Hopefully we cam get back to winning ways against Hartlepool.

  31. Ross Barrows had a really good game for them. Senior made a big difference for us when he came on but our final ball was not there. Had a really good chance at the end but couldn't see who missed it. A draw was a fair result.

  32. Poor performance. Summerfield was King's Lynn's best player, constantly giving the ball away. Very poor. Yes torquay drew there but they can afford dropped points, where as we need to be beating teams like King's Lynn

  42. I have also succumbed, i was planning to boycott on principle, but please be assured if we are losing 2-0 with 10 minutes to go i am going to instigate a pitch invasion to try and get the match abandoned and get my £12 back!

  43. This wont go down well with some FCHT supporters on here, but teams like our Lancastrian neighbours of Accy/Rochdale & dare I say Burnley are a credit for their long established reign in the FL. Although on the wrong side of the hill they are in football terms where we should be (not geographically).
