  7. Notice that this year's squad is a very tall team... but we have seen that in this leauge, you need a physical team

  10. Well that must be the best closed season ever players brought in on a planned basis and just fantastic comms from the comms team nothing guarantees success on the pitch.. but really feel we have just given ourselves the best chance to have a good season hoping for a couple of defenders coming in this week and for comms to post video clips of the players at training and finally a bit of a push on the commercial side.. some supporters needing some help to make a commitment in these difficult times well done to all those involved with the club

  11. Signings have slowed up but it could be for several reasons, it may be that his first choices are taking time to get, it's not a bad thing if he is holding out for the ones he really wants rather than going for second best. It could be a bit of cat and mouse where players he wants think they have a chance of a league team. Either way he is getting a good looking squad together and seems to know just what he needs to make us competitive in this league.

  16. Town's first, 1911/12. I had to do special code for last season, where the table is displayed as you'd expect during the season itself, and then the final table by PPG. Not annoying at all! But it's not unique in terms of being nonstandard, the tables during the war years were sorted in other ways too. The expunged games are all recorded and displayed, its just whether or not to count the appearances and goals in a player's total. I think I'll exclude them as that seems to be the majority opinion.

  17. On the video highlights on twitter looks a big looking lad , but quick on his feet and looks goid on the ball a young lad who can really grow into a good centre back .. hope he gets a good set of games under his belt before anybody judges Especially with Clarke there to guide him

  18. Sounds like just the sort of player we need. Right age , but a good pedigree already.

  19. I’d like to go away from the wing backs personally. Maybe keep it as a backup option if we go on a poor run again Just my thinking, Stenson crossing into Hyde would be handy

  29. Nathan Clarke - 3391/3420 (99.15%). *sidenote - Clarke has made a total overall of 8251/8280 which, had he not incorrectly been sent off at Woking last season would have been a 100%. Never injured, never subbed etc

  30. I was thinking more in terms of players who are married and already have a house elsewhere, and they were taking a hit in accomodation costs in order to play for a team not local to them. I had the same issue with some contracts I had in London, where my day rate did not include expenses, so anything I earned was reduced by the amount I then had to pay out in hotels etc.

  33. No **** Sherlock. As predicted a long time before the start of the year. It was well on the cards for him to return to his native Norfolk. We have lost a major asset player that we will miss but could do nothing about him moving on. The very best of luck Cam back in Norfolk and thanks for your input.

  34. Sorry guys halifax beating ..no thrashing Leeds ..keep it .., it was 11 v 11 on the pitch ... in this case as we won keep it.. if we had lost .. then that would be different

  35. Yup, probably the best 60 min footballer we have had at the Shay. If he could last the full 90 he wouldn't be non league.

  36. Quality footballer, shame about the stamina issues but without wouldn't be at National level.

  37. I find it bizarre that people think we would hand out digs in Leeds for free The rental value will have been part of their wage and their package, not on top of what we paid others.

  38. The only deadline at our level is March, and even then I’m pretty certain you can get a keeper. Cambridge did it for the play-offs and got themselves a keeper from Leicester, seems to the the only position you’d be able to do it

  41. Another variation. Wrexhan have proposed a similar scheme instead of S/T's for ths season, blocks of 10 to start with then a last 3 games as a block. At the price you mention would it still be attactive, say 10 @ £150, with 3 @ £45 = £345 for all 23 games? The differentiation would be that full S/T's would take precedence in all ticket allocation, followed by block tickets, followed by S/C members, with the rest being open to open sale.

  42. Taken from the most recent FA Guidance on the respone to Covid-19: Hopefully, the government will see sense and adjust this to 30% of the individual ground capacity in the near future, as there is no logic in an artificial limit based on the lowest common denominator
