How many on here actually watched last nights game.  The state of the pitch is a great leveller how do you think we beat Manchester City. Last night we actually played some decent football  consi

Disappointing result last night but I think there have been some over reactions. At times I thought we played some decent stuff, scored a good goal and could have had 3 or more with better finishing a

Loved this result, well done Southport, but it was to be expected when coming up against the minnows of halifax. The bottom line is, halifax were terrified of Southport even before a ball was kic

Don't want to sound negative but we deserve to be kicked out of the competition if the game isn't played tonight or tommorow. Sounds like the pitch at Southport would have been playable Saturday or tonight so it would be typical it wasn't playable tommorow. Just hoping the weather is kind over the next few hours

It did. How much do you want to bet it won't pass the official inspection by the match referee

What´s the weather like now WB?

Very heavy rainfall overnight then steady but fairly constant throughout today . Pitch should currently be playable but will cut up quite a bit . What is called in Shay meteorological terms, a forking nightmare

At least there are 6 of them in this forking nightmare

If the match was to fail the 4PM inspection, is it possible to still play tonight at Southport?

Or even if it fails a 5PM inspection?

It's down for a 7PM KO but no reason why that can't be delayed to 7.45 or 8, or even 8.45 etc.... Not like it will make much difference to the fans.

We do indeed!

The pitch looks absolutely fine right now so no reason it shouldn’t be played tonight!

If it’s not on just kick us out and save us the embarrassment on trying to get it on again.

Probably takes a while to set up the streaming and we'd need to make last minute arrangements to get there so wouldn't by ideal

Feel re assured now our resident Bill Froggat has given his go ahead

Do you mean Bill Foggit who used to do the weather on Calendar when it first started? He used pine cones etc to provide a nature based weather forecast
