I'm gutted, I dont do criticizing PW  but this is a mistake.

Probably wanted to much money and another who went missing in games. Looked to me like he wasnt happy and maybe that was down to not being the player he was before his injury?

Or maybe we didn't have players smart enough to find him in areas he would be dangerous. Cam King was his supply line but other than that he didn't have one.

We had an awful lot of grafters and not too many smart footballers

Don't get me started on Cameron King! Overrated by the majority of the fans.

Totally agree Greggs, I've written loads on these threads to that very effect so I'm not gonna do it again. But he was the quality we really need. We should have been building around him getting a quality midfielder with a brain that thinks a nano second faster than those we had/have. But never mind eh??

Well again when your the only creative spark in a team it's easy to shut that threat down and King had that issue in a lot of games.

So if your shutting down the only link where would Redshaw get his supply line from.

If he was the player many think he is he would be able to deal with that rather than disappearing in a game. Did I read somewhere 4 or 5 assists all season from your No.1 playmaker?

He kept on going in the Ebbsfleet game but thete was naff all in front of him and many a time it was a case of trying to go past 5 defenders and score.

You can put 2 players on Ronaldo and Messi and make them ineffective. The difference is he was our only threat. Having 2 players on you shuts you down. But you have your opinion and I'll have mine

Was Redshaw really that good? 3 goals in 15 is not great for a 'goalscorer', excuses are now being made for him but i think Wild got it just about right.

Excuses or reasons?

Did we have anyone aside from King good enough to find him?

Well personally you could tell with him some of the goals he scored his movement was there and it was smart movement. His goal against Torquay for example. Peeling to the back post to finish. He seemed a smart footballer to me.

Let's use Silva for example because he was the most recent not singling him out merely to compare. There were a good numerous crosses came in last year that were just in front of him. In the games I watched it seemed because he hadn't read what was going to happen quick enough.

Redshaw to me had those instincts.

But anyway its over and he's gone. Hopefully we can find another good one

Good first touch and control of the ball too.

He didn't do enough for me. However, there is something about him that excites and his past shows that he is more than good enough at this level if he can get back to being match fit and motivated.

Had it been my call I'd have tried to keep him. I certainly wouldn't have released him whilst trying to keep TSS. Of the strikers left at our  club at the end of the season just gone Redshaw would have been the one  I'd have backed to be our top scorer if we kept the same players for another season.

Redshaw started 9 games and came on as sub in 4. He played 2 FA Trophy games and scored 2 goals.  So that makes him pretty damn potent in my book Greygoose. Thats a 1 in 3 striker, better than anything we've had for a long time. Rodney apart, but I'm not even going there, been done to death!!!
