Would you rather have him than Big Sam?

Just set me thinking here Vinny, this could actually be our Achilles, but if we dont have cover going into what is the most important series of games (hopefully) for quite some time, we really would have a serious problem if Sam got injured in beating BW. I really dont mean to keep having a go at the young lad Appleyard, but he is not a viable option if the worst should happen. He has zero experience at 1st team level, apart from 2 games in the WRCC, where apart from saving a penalty, he was very nervous and didn't instill any confidence whatsoever that he could be put into the team for a "proper" 1st team game in the league let alone a playoff Semi Final. This is not the time to be blooding a raw youngster, lets hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Huge, huge credit to Pete Wild for what he’s achieved this season. Unbelievable effort to make the playoffs.    I’m not even gonna lie, I told all my friends back home to lump on Halifax to get

Not trying to be prickly, but I genuinely think club interaction has been really good this season? Particularly in this enforced break with updates, players calling fans, re-runs of games? O

Just thinking Colwyn Bay would be a good shout, decent vantage point from the fields?

Given our history lady luck has rarely been smiling down, one would assume PW is aware of it but we are pretty much down to bare bones of a 1st team squad so he would be worried as well if we lost a specialist FB, CB, MF or striker although a GK is a far harder position to make do and mend, the other point would be if Big Sam got suspended for later games. Perhaps our ITK colleagues on the forum can have a quiet word with the management

Is Ollie the only person who has access to NL information AND got a means of communicating during lockdown?

No he's a BBC journalist based in Kent who seems to get info from a club down that neck of the woods. Having said that we have intimated on social media as to these being the likely days anyway.

Harrogate get Jack Diamond and Alex Bradley back on loan and also hopeful to get Kian Harratt back from Huddersfield, does not seem right somehow.

Personally I don’t have a problem with it, as long as they were on loan at Harrogate at the time the season was suspended and would otherwise have been available to play the play offs in a regular circumstance.

However, from a Shaymen point of view it’s incredibly annoying.

That is correct. However, what would concern me if I was a Harrogate fan, is what problems are down the road if you get promoted with the benefit of a load of loan players, and then go into next season without them. It would be like starting from scratch again.

The final will be played at Wembley in a manner reminiscent of when junior teams in Halifax get to play their local cup final at the Shay (still the best feeling and occasion in the world, I'm lucky to say).

I too remember the days when the local leagues had their big day out, for the rugby I played in a few finals at Thrum Hall, but seem to remember back in the 70's that local football finals were all played at Natty Lane and not the Shay for some reason?

Is this another way to boost the Project Playoff coffers, or at least provide a revenue stream for next season?

https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.com/latest-news/fa-competitions-more-news/30902/team-up-with-thousands-of-other-clubs-already-getting-extra-funding/

It looks to be along the same lines as Quidco and Topcashback, only the money raised goes straight to the organisation registering it. Maybe something the Supporters Club could take a look at?

At least the fans have put enough in the pot to pay for suits and shoes this time.

I bet DB still isn't happy it's at Wembley.

It depends. If the NL are prepared to share out the TV income from televising the play-offs it would help. ( I have seen news that the NL North/South playoffs will not be televised).

Worst case it is a big shop window for the club if we get to the final, as there is unlikely to be any other footy on the tele that day.
