It's the coming out at the end of the game that's the big problem.

3 exits available, with proper planning and easy to follow and sensible social distancing and hand washing facilities it can be achieved at our level. People will get used to it, most are now used to queuing at supermarkets and other shops and in the next 3 weeks they will have to observe these measures at further shops. I am pretty sure that people can obey it at lower league football.

I agree, especially at a big ground like ours.

Also, we could still have away fans but put a limit it to a safe level.

The whole FC Halifax Town family could become resident at The Skircoat Hotel and remain permanently on site

Maybe that is the answer - a Shay bubble. We would not need to go to work as the govt will be giving us money and we can all safely sit around and talk about football and talk bollocks for the next few months.

Or is that we are already doing....without the actual football.

We don't need football to talk bollocks. We can talk bollocks about anything or anyone at any time.

We don't need to practice, it just comes naturally.

Former Town player, Grimsby Town midfielder Elliott Whitehouse has been banned for six games and fined £2,000 for using abusive language towards an opponent.

The 26-year-old was charged following an incident in the 72nd minute of his side's League Two game with Northampton Town on 23 November 2019.

I’d happily take him.

Not sure he'd come back here after his last spell and doubt we'd want a player with a 6 game ban. Is he good enough to take on knowing he misses the 1st month of the sesson? Not for me.

What if we sign him now and then he misses the 3 play-off games, so then only 3 games from the start of the season:D

He isn’t anything like him though is he. A totally different player. Pearson was a beast on there and Elliott whitehouse isn’t that type of player. He’s a bit more creative with much more skill

Whitehouse is excellent if played in the right position. Not overly skilful, but very strong and a great engine- play him as an attacking midfielder/number 10 and he will get goals. Useful habit of being in the right position and getting 'scrappy' goals.

Didn’t exactly do bad in the National League.

AND Danny Cowley offered him a new contract to stay at Lincoln after a season in league 2, which he turned down to join Grimsby.

Cowley isn’t a bad judge of player really...

Looking at his stats he was mostly a sub at Lincoln and obviously hasnt done enough at Grimsby.

Not saying he's a bad player would possibly be decent for a club like us and expect he'll end up ay this level.

Injured for the majority of his time at Grimsby then topped it off with his abusive behavior charge

Sounds pretty much nailed on for the Shay then.
