Dover vs Barrow

Recommended Posts

A test of confidence, who do we want to win?

Barrow to take points off a team hunting down a play off spot, making our cushion to falling out better?

or Dover to see if we can hunt down the title favorites? For me Barrow can still be caught, they have both us and Harrogate to play and plenty of other tricky games.

Dover win please. All it takes is a slip up for Barrow and win for us next weekend and we are 4 points off top with a home game against them to play.

Draw would be best I think, both teams drop points. Next best a Dover win, I think we can catch Barrow - they have a relatively tough run in. Recent form has given me confidence, (although you never know with us) I think we’re in the position now where we can be looking up at 1st rather than looking over our shoulders to see how close 8th place is.

Wow! a month ago the manager was taking us into a relegation battle now were winning the league!

If Barrow win tonight they wont be caught. If they dont then they still probably wont be but either way we gain something.

A month a ago the manager was walking down the same route as the previous 2 managers and refusing to change his ways.

Full credit to him for realising unlike the 2 previous managers. Although we wouldn't have been talking about having to catch Barrow if he hadn't of wasted 6 weeks flogging a dead horse.

Hindsight is wonderful thing

especially ignoring an injured brown and an unfit king and Redshaw

don’t think we could have played that formation with the players that were injured

Hindsight? Sorry, it was broadcast loud and clear for nearly two months before he budged.

Anything can happen in a local derby....

+1.

Regionalise the fourth and fifth tiers NOW. Give us Crewe away midweek to whinge about instead of Torquay away. Extend it to the third tier if it pans out well.

But there’s no guarantee that it would have worked in the way it has now, if we had done it in November. As Nick said, we didn’t really have the right players at our disposal.

When we didn’t have the right players available to play that formation.

Did with McAlinden what Stockport did with Rodney. Sho was never going to score anywhere near enough goals.

We could have signed Rodney when we were top but werent prepared to pay his wages... then the board and management realised he was what we needed so eventually got him and now things have turned again

Dover win please , leaves Barrow on 8 points above us not 11 which will be difficult to close .

They have some difficult games coming up in comparison to us who have on paper more winnable games .

Thing being top going into last 3rd of the season brings more pressure especially for a club who were expected to be also rans , see how they handle the pressure .

Also Evatt is being named with every club that sacks their manager so if the right club comes along he might not see the season out .
