That was a good Northampton team, too. Morley and Hill (?) up front.

Not that team was was a couple of years before, that team beat us 6-3 at Shay.

But we won the rematch 2-0 that year, on the run which ended at Chester with a huge following

Is it possible the position he plays isn’t widely understood amongst Supporter Experts. Hence they under estimate him.

Seem to remember Niall Maher getting dogs abuse last season, for some the penny has dropped about the amount of work Maher gets through when we don’t have the ball. If he is going to keep a fit Maher out of the side then he will need to be one hell of a player,

Going back a long way. Bob Wallace used to get abuse playing in a similar defensive mid role although no one called it that.

He left to join Aldershot, boy did we miss him. He came back with Aldershot and played us off the park.

In Coopers case the veggie burgers have two reasons to under estimate him. Firstly his father is manager, to select his own son is twice the crime Billy Heath committed in selecting people he once previously managed but weren’t even related to him. Secondly he played in the least glamorous midfield position as above.

Bob Wallace.... cracking player and not a bad penalty taker. Didn’t he score the one against Alex Stepney in the Watney Cup ?

I'm a big fan of defensive midfielders, still not sure that you need two exclusively defensive midfielders in your starting eleven

At the moment we haven’t any in the side

FCHT not said but transfer web pages listed him Sat morning as left FGR and signed for FCHT so a signing presume to end of season.

PW said at the Supporters meeting that he was looking to bring in one more player this season that would be ours and that it was an almost done deal. We then sign Cooper 48 hours after, so assuming thats the lad he was chasing.

We currently have no loan players at the club.
