Not a bad cricketer too.

After retiring (and being sacked) he worked for a former chairman of Halifax Town at his textiles business. As far as I know he now works in a carpet shop in Huddersfield somewhere.

He started at MU then on to Hudd then us, signed for Yorks cricket 1973 but didn't play for first team until 80 he toured for rebel England team to SA in 82. He was also voted in at number 5 in the 50 worst football players to have played at the highest level.

One of your best ever Frank Worthington was a Halifax A team player before you nicked him.

He was nicked by a former Halifax Town manager, too, in Harry Hooper. Frank played in Halifax Town's FA youth team before Dave and Bob broke through.

Dave ,Bob And Frank all played together in the A team as I played in that team. Dave was the gobbiest in the team and the poorest player.
