Aldershot: today’s game

It gets you higher up the pitch, it brings others in to play, it keeps possession. It brings a lot of things into play and it’s what we’ve been missing on many occasions!

That is when positive things come from it, have you been watching?

We are talking about a striker Pipsqueak, another Dud.

Two weeks in and another player’s written off by the all-knowing Teddyboy. You don’t even adjudge a hen’s egg to be a dud within that time.

I haven't written him off, team selection at Aldershot is not down to me.

Body language looked suspect as soon as they emerged from the tunnel. An oddly sullen and reticent performance all round so far. Utterly lacking in confidence for some reason. Inexplicable from this angle.

We are lucky to go in 1-0 down, bring young Earing & hanson on to put a bit of speed in.

Half time team talk should do the trick, surely.

Sounds like we have had two good chances we should have put away as well as two off the line. I know that it’s stating the obvious but we do need to stick these chances away. If Aldershot get the next goal I think we will be out of this game.

not heard any mention of Cameron King 1st half, need to get him on the ball this 2nd half

Commentator just said King has been playing too deep for whatever reason.

Sounds like Aldershot are playing the better football and are getting too many chances in and around our  area. Lucky for us we have a brilliant keeper in Johnston. We need to keep possession more second half and put their defence under presure. The next goal is critical let's make sure we get it.

When you are 1-0 down in the first minute the coach has to go for a goal for the next 90 minutes. No good waiting for an occasional breakaway or set piece. Let’s hope we can get back into it. If we can’t put the ball in the net people will be asking questions.
