We need some new signings ASAP

Recommended Posts

All well and good throwing names around, but we need a proper system, a formation that suits and then we can bring players in to improve that.

Our recruitment is a shambles curently, Billy said he wanted us to play high tempo, attacking play in a 4-4-2. He played it all pre season, then decided we'd better change to low tempo 4-5-1 where the tactic is to play long balls to Denton and hope the midfield can either get a knock down or pick up the loose second ball in the opposition half. Wide players get little to no service in dangerous areas so Denton gets no service in from wide areas where he's at his most dangerous.

We lack fit and available defenders, so we've signed a midfielder and are linked with an attacker.

Recruitment is seemingly limited to players who've played with the manager before or one's we've played against this season.

If we sign Morgan I've no doubt he'll be used on the wing in place of Simmons or Macdonald.

It's about time time Hotte moved back to midfield as well. One of the better players for me.Give Hone another.go at centre back.

Don't get for the life in me why we don't give 4 4 2 system a try?

Thinks its time some of you stopped playing Football Manager on your computer and stepped back into the real world.

Last weeks thread was all about Peniket and Hibbs should play as they are supposedly better. So the captain is moved out for Hibbs to play, and as I pointed out last week if we are expecting salvation from either Peni and Hibbs well it sort of proves how thin the squad is.

Hibbs puts in a dire performance, along with others, and the Football Managers among us can't be wrong, so Hibbs played badly because Heath is a poor coach unlike the FIFA rated coaches we have here.

Now its the scouting system, Football Manager chucks up loads of players, even obscure ones we are all supposed to have heard of, most of whom can't wait to join us. Its nearly Christmas and the transfer window is about to open. So who is going to move now when in a couple of weeks time bigger clubs might be interested?

How can you expect a midfielder in our team to play well when the balls launched 50 yards above them every game. If the defense are going to punt it 60 yards to Denton exactly how can you have a good game

Just about to say 'we need to create a midfield before we start suggesting who to put in it'

We will never play football while Denton is in the team. It's all one dimensional and doesn't take long for better teams to snuff out any threat. We need a new striker who can lead the line with pace not just a big aimless hoof up field

Another winger is also needed as I fear josh may leave in January. In the past month or so he's looked like he doesn't give a sh!t.

reeves would be ideal. Scored more goals than games played just 3 or 4 years ago in this very same league, a natural born goalscorer. Of course Adam Morgan would be nice as well ;)

in terms of centre backs I would take a look at somebody out of favour at national league level, I'm sure we could pull it off cos we're MASSIVE and should WALK THE LEAGUE.

creativity needed as mentioned due to Sinnott's injury. Got no idea who's available though, maybe a punt on George Thomson from fc  united?

Where is McDonald going in January?

If he has the beating if his man in the first few runs at him he's full of confidence, if the opposite happens he does nothing. The penalty v Eastleigh shot his confidence and he did nowt.

Annoyingly inconsistent, no footballing brain compared to Kosylo. Swiches off frequently when we do not have the ball, fails to track back and cover.

We all know there is something there, but would a pro club take the big risk of signing him?

Maybe Aspin may take him due to him signing for Aspin in the first place.

Could be right and from the north east.

Could always replace him with a central midfielder from NFU.

Wouldn't blame him. Aspin has proved to be one of the best in developing young players and Josh would heavily benefit from his guiding hand. Plus he's a local boy (kind of).

Josh plays much better with confidence, but then don't all footballers, maybe playing to his strengths might help, get the ball down and play, let him take people on, this may help Mr Heath.

Cant blame Heath for everything sometimes players have to take responsibility and if JM doesn't 'fancy it' then he's a passenger for most of the game- see last Tuesday.

Someone at work recommended Dale Jennings today. Once tore up League One for Tranmere but apparently fell on hard times and was recently turning out - uncontracted - for Barnsley reserves.

Is that the lad that has made a career out of playing for Bayern Munich?

Jesus haven't we had enough Bayern castoffs? If they aren't good enough for the Bundesliga they will never do it in front of the demanding fans at the Shay Siro.
