Don't worry Erik, I'm no Catholic, and in the famous words of Gerry Adams, I am not and have never been a member of the provisional IRA. I suggest we take djfunky's lead and link arms and unite by singing the songs of the middle-of-the-road Irish folkster Daniel O'Donnell.

I'm not worried, Pliny.

No need to diss the D man either. He's like Chadders,  he brings a lot of comfort to a lot of old ladies.

It's ridiculous isn't it and it days like this that make me question my love for the beautiful game. I'm excited about going to Nuneaton FFS. Nobody should ever be excited about going to a place that

Ban the lot of them! The club don't want them there and neither do 99% of the rest of the town fans who go to football to watch just that and have a good day out doing so

Yes was a good game. All the more distasteful at  the end and to say the stewards were bullying makes it sound like the one on the floor was the only one on the pitch and innocent?????  He was neither

I am in the middle of learning all political songs associated with the 68 political parties of Nigeria with a view to getting some of them sung on Saturday, would be happy to provide hymn sheets if you send me your bank details.

I'd say that was a lot closer to the laughable 188 that we were quoted on Saturday night.

Not that it really matters, but I was told 288. 393 hasn't been given anywhere as an official figure.

With the away end looking about 1/5 full, and some of yours going in the away turnstiles to sit in the seats too, that (288) would seem spot on.

Having been to many diddly o donnely concerts what bugs me is camping out overnight to get a good seat anyway only waited 2 mins for my season ticket last night and was nice to see Louisa who dealt with everybody with a cheerful smile which is how it should be and what about Mr b's double wandering round the car park and the contender for the goal of the season ,oh joy.

I take it Fylde didn't have a game last night ;)

393 seems right to me.No way was the split 288/645 home fans, much nearer 50/50.

http://www.nuneatontownfc.com/videos/nuneaton-2-halifax-3-match-highlights-060816-84601.html - free to view highlights for those without Shaymen player. All it shows of the away side is the goals tbf, but it's free.

Didn't realise quite how empty the home section was when standing in it, wow.

Also didn't know the defending for Denton's second goal, not just the keeping, was so bad.

Can't you do Zimbabwe instead, in honour of Cliff Moyo?

Police now investigating an alleged assault on 4 stewards after game--courier website.

IF the reports are true that the stewards were overly aggressive towards the initial pitch invader, asking for video footage etc could be bad news for the stewards (part of me hopes so as our stewards are hypocritical wankers who treat home fans appallingly usually). Footage could clear people if it was shown to be self defence/defending a friend rather than just incriminating people.

It would take a good lawyer to argue that kicking another person whilst they are on the floor is self defence.

If they kicked the steward in the head whilst down they could be looking at more than a fine and a ban tbh.

Like I said before, be thankful that you can go to games and enjoy it. If the lads are found they won't be going to games for a few years. Any time is a bad time for that to happen but when the club are winning things/potentially going to win things it''s a shame.

Aye arguing self defence only really works if you're backed in to a corner with no other option.

Not sure sprinting across the pitch really falls in to that category...

Going back to the Charlton game when a streaker ran on to the pitch, the stewards did nothing and was left to the guy in the suit who works for the club to get onto the pitch and march him off and lets face it that was harder to do because the guy had no pants on,a pity the ten stewards at Nuneaton made such a mess of it,should have just escorted the fan of the pitch as quick as possible or gave him to the police and all what happened would have been avoided.
