Flea 6,629
at fault for the second goal I think but wasn't dreadful or anything, was surprised to see him subbed but Bolton performed well Should have smashed the ball out for a corner or row Z for the second goal. Other than that he wasn't either shocking or good. He made a mistake and didnt play the weather - but these things happen at this level - not a massive clanger, but could have dealt with it better. last_chance_saloon 453
Should have smashed the ball out for a corner or row Z for the second goal. How many times have we said that this season about all our defenders at some point this season. Frustrating, and Aspin sounded so in his post match interview.

Very bad defending - both goals. 1st) M.Roberts & K.Roberts at fault 2nd) Ainge & K.Roberts and to some degree M.Roberts Agree, apart from the 2nd goal Ainge did ok.
choppiebinkie 181
Defenders make a mistake and it usually leads to a goal strikers don't take chances this is usually forgotten
(Not) Halifax Town FC 2
Ainge was has good has any other defender at Torquay - he been very good most of the season..he now needs to step up even more when Roberts departs in Jan, he needs to guide Williams when he returns. Infact I hope Aspin picks Williams tomorrow. Think Bolton may start though.
Bobbins 1,369
Marc roberts has given the impression that he's off to bigger things. His performance has dipped the last month or so, hopefully we've a suitable replacement lined up for next month.
Shaymen0 203
Mark roberts should have been off for a tackle he did in the second half imop, maybe he wanted Christmas off before his big move January.

His performance has dipped the last month or so, hopefully we've a suitable replacement lined up for next month. .....and that's an understatement! Earlier in the season he was superb. He won't be easy to replace and the chance of us finding a player as good/important than him is very slim.
Shaymen2008 966
but then if he has lost interest because of his imminent move away and is playing poorly then surely an average defender from this level would be an improvement if he was playing for the clubs pride and not his own. He's not regularly playing poorly. He's just gone from superb to ok+ of late. It's very much likely that he'll perform better the rest of this month compared to last. An average defender from our level would definitely not be an improvement. I think he's professional enough to play for the team and not his own. It's not just him who've underperformed....the whole team has.
