  1. Dave Evans going back to the 80s was only about 5ft 10 inches but what a good centre back he was.

  2. Stuart Parnaby was our best defensive loan signing ever. Brilliant player who was always destined for a higher level.

  3. Can't decide if I want to stream the game or not. It always annoys me more if we lose to hobby clubs. Losing to a Stockport feels less annoying because they are a proper football club with history

  4. I won't be streaming it neither, nothing to do with shenanigans wife said you've already had £17.49 this week watching football, you're getting no more.

  5. A few years ago 15/16 season when we got relegated Boreham wood was the first game of the season. They insisted the media team pay to go in then wanted a fee to enable them to show the highlights of Shaymen player. They are virtual pirahes with rest of the league they won't even let away fans bring bottled water in of food.

  6. Confident going into this. Why not. Just on a side note, I won't be streaming the match after Boreham Wood's shenanigans over the years regards to highlights and the media team. Bollox to them.

  7. After beating Pontycarlo last week, Briggus have been handed a reprieve in the FA Trophy. Despite losing at Kendal, they are through to the 3rd Q round due to Kendal playing 2 ineligible players in the 2nd Q round. Division higher Buxton are at The Yorkshire Payments Stadium this Sat at 3pm. If you’re not watching The Shaymen, Briggus Town will try to get their first win of the season tomorrow when Ponty Collieries visit The Yorkshire Payments Stadium, 3pm ko. 396 saw 7 more goals at Brighouse Town yesterday with another sending off and another penalty!! Sadly the sending off w

  8. Id like the club to take stock of the Streaming figures first and after a few games. Hopefully they will be pleasantly surprised. I guess none of the clubs will publicise their viewing figures whilst they negotiate the Govt handout.

  12. Not sure Spence is tall enough for CB unless he's as good ad he thinks he is . Sounds a good prospect but I can see him leaving on a free when his contract expires . Also worryingly plays positions where we already have cover

  13. If we are to be progressive we need players similar to Spence, Earing & Benn to groom (can I say that) for the future. In that respect PW has got it right & the BOD have always supported bringing promising young players to the club.

  14. Both Bradbury & Byrne look cracking signings in that defence enough speed to cover Clarke.

  15. Bennet of Stockport being a perfect example, took the man every challenge not sure he played the ball more than a couple of times, even riled Clarke enough to get him booked, silly but Clarke rarely reacts to thuggery so must have been something in the challenge. Pleased with our back three at the moment, a few senseless punts upfield but mostly good distribution with little trouble dealing with pace or high balls & will get better.

  16. I guess they are classed as an "elite" team as well, so probably behind closed doors. Shame it would have been a nice way to see some live football, socially distanced of course, and see what else we have coming through the ranks.

  17. I can see & understand the reasoning with regards to not wanting to line BW's pockets but in the final analysis it is cutting off your nose etc. Look at it another way when we nick a point or beat them you will have the satisfaction of having seen it while cheering Town on & not had to adhere to their petty rules & regulations The main issue I have is the tension brought on by the will it wont it work with the streaming just prior to the match, must be my age but it does my head in

  22. Interesting fact, our starting line up last night scored 13 league goals between them last season. Stockports had 36. We need Hyde back asap.

  24. If I made decisions based on value I wouldn’t pay a tank of fuel, £20 entry and £10 on food to watch step 5 football in the pissing rain and freezing cold! £9.99 is what it takes to watch Town right now, so that’s what I’ll do You are comparing streaming to an alternative that just isn’t available right now. Value is a completely personal thing. You seen insistent on comparing it to other streaming services, they could be amazing but they’re not showing Halifax Town and therefore they’re less valuable to me. It would be like saying to you, why do you travel to Dover and spe
