  1. Dont think there will be a second lockdown. The country simply cannot afford it. Public health might be a priority but the government I think will refuse to take it to that level because they know the damage it will cause

  2. If Brown and C.King could play 90 mins every week and sometimes 2 games a week then maybe . Brown missed a lot of games due to injury and King struggled to last 90 mins .

  3. The death numbers reported are still quite low. We have been getting on average about 10 deaths a day of late. I appreciate its 10 deaths more than we'd like, however when you consider how many people die from things like cancer, heart attacks and strokes every day, the question has to be asked how long people are prepared to be locked down. The concern I have is that I don't trust the figures we are being told. I think we over reported deaths to start with and I hold no confidence that any of the figures coming out now are anywhere near accurate.

  4. Agree that Duckworth is a big loss. But I’m banking on the fact that we haven’t had a poor right back since we’ve reformed. We seemed to have been blessed with consistent 7/10 fullbacks. Hardy, Toulon and even Moyo had their fans and were reliable. While Bolton, Roberts and Duckworth were players that were player of the year type players for us. Touchwood we are blessed with another decent right back in King or A.n.other

  5. Yesterday was another game against a team who in theory should be well ahead of where we are, it was their 5th game. We’ve been back in training less than a fortnight and both halves yesterday had youth team players in the game. Still hard to read anything into it for me

  6. Clarke is better than Brown, postionally and his reading of the game is better. Put him with Maher and Bradbury and you have a pretty decent back 3

  7. Yes, I'm a Heathen too. Surprised we didn't know about this as I'm guessing some of our teachers would have taught him.

  9. As the first half went on good to see the likes of Bradbury, Woods & Summerfield getting into the game plus I can´t see Green disappointing also none of the kids did themselves any harm and have to mention Allen held the player off to score his goal last season he would probably have gone down. Could not tell too much from second half as that´s cut short but all in all bits of nice football in between. Onwards and upwards.

  10. I just don’t buy the idea that Brown is a problem player or has a bad attitude. Every single interaction, his conduct on and off the pitch and the murmurings you hear from past and present players all go to back his character up. Simply if his attitude was the problem why has he for so many years been captain and played almost every game? I struggle to understand how we can say someone who has pretty much played every minute of every game when fit, and has been club captain for a few seasons is suddenly surplus to requirements and such a problem that he is out in the cold straight away.

  11. As was apparently the case with Kosylo, however a compromise was found to get him in training more. I just feel this is a sad way for Brown's time at the club to come to an end. He has been a fantastic servant to us for years and hope that his time here isn't tainted by potentially incorrect assumptions about him.

  12. Matty Brown is probably our best player. And when on form, the second best was Cameron King. Certainly a very good creative player and someone able to unlock a game with a pass, and also score a goal on occasion. But King is gone, and Brown is not in Wild's plans. And we also lost Staunton, a good club man and committed player. Versatile, and someone who had height and physical presence, something we have been lacking in. So I do pray that Wild has found, or will find, suitable replacements. I did worry when I saw this feedback on the recent game. In his review of the Guis

  16. Not surprised I never heard of him though. In my time it was total rugby union, even kicking a football in the yard was frowned upon.

  18. Fullerton allegedly thought Clarke was finished 15 months ago, due to his age. But then, what do he and I know? Nathan is a player I liked a lot in his first season with us, and he is a fantastic dedicated pro. But I did feel he looked shaky in several games toward the end of last season.

  20. think Mr B was always in favour of an amateur arrangement back in the day! I presume no relation to the great Andy Watson who played for us in late 80's

  21. Yeh, dont worry, its only the second time the team have played together in a sort of competitive way, have we got four more pre season matches to play? I think in the last two you may see what Wild thinks is the best team. We shall see.

  22. Disagree In my opinion Brown last season looked slow (maybe because of injuries) Clarke positional play and organisational ability is far superior to Brown. Having said that the current situation with Brown needs resolving amicably

  23. Please remember that Brown and Hanson are a transaction between Unknown FC and FCHT and then a transaction between said players and their potential new employer. PW as our manager has unfortunately had to concede that Brown can no longer play for us on our new contract of employment and in the case of Hanson , for whatever reason,no longer wants him in the building. Why then would either party wish to currently play for FCHT as the risk of injury would be a problem for both parties. I am sure there are many conversations going on with prospective employers for B & H and ulti

  27. So what type of club keeps so called headless chickens on the books for two seasons with no intention of playing them? If the players not up to standard why has the club failed to manage them out? That's my point, you can't blame the players if they don't fit the managers requirements. We can all argue whether he is a good player or not. Some on here are even sad to see TSS go (so we aren't all great judges of player are we?) but the club needs to run a tighter ship.

  28. Playing well to some is that he can run fast. Positionally he isn’t great and in a game he did play last season, Pete Wild was giving him instructions several times which he ignored. It may be confidence, it may be the fact he was the only bright spark in a very dour team when he first came in. As for Brown I do believe It is sad his time is ending like this, I like him but for whatever reason he cannot attend the training sessions required. You need the team pulling in one direction and it’s time to focus on the players that will or can train.

  29. I would expect that Browny is a big influence around the club, in the dressing room etc. He was club captain after all. Great when he is with you on side, not so great when he isn’t. In normal workplaces sometimes managers or supervisors are put on gardening leave and this is the footballing equivalent.. Browny would be a fool to himself if he isn’t training somewhere, but I can’t see anything wrong with putting him on gardening leave to avoid risking dressing room dissent. With regard to no plan b when games are not going well under plan a. I agree with you there. I am hoping that h

  30. I listened to the match in that Guiseley radio, I'm not going to be awful about the 2 lads commentating but they were clearly amateurs and I didn't have a clue what was going on in play so can't gauge whether we played good or not! However it's extra minutes, fitness, cofidence and it was pleasing to know we scored from a corner. We were a smaller less physical team last season and we've added that heighthe and power this summer. The commentary did say we were playing games some nice passes from the back and I think Allen's goal came from a ball over the top so I feel pleased we
