  1. Think if I was a Bury fan I would more enthusiastic about the Phoenix club than anything associated with deluded Steve Dale.

  2. So Stevenage stay up, having amassed three victories all season. Surely this is some sort of record for a league which normally relegates two teams?

  3. As a football club that's been through the torture of going out of business and having to start up a lot lower down. To wish that on a club for simply sending us down is a little in bad taste for me.

  13. You would think that the rest of the squad who are out of contract but have been offered a new one, have had enough time to mull it over and make a decision by now. Shame for Pete Wild because he's going to jave to do the opposite of what he wanted to and assemble at least half a squad.

  14. Don't think they specified when. Just said this week. Based on rumours going around though it could be Kieran Green

  16. Their players as well were shocking that day. Celebrated like they had won the World Cup at full time in what was a nothing game for them. Absolutely no sympathy from me whatsoever.

  19. Not condoning what Macclesfield have done, but the authorities again favouring southern clubs. I wonder if they’d have done the same if it were Stevenage, not Macclesfield in that position.

  23. The EFL said an independent panel's decision was "final and binding". As others have said, it`s easier to get to Macc. I remember a few years ago on a Tuesday evening it was absolutely p***ing it down and they wouldn`t let us go under cover. Still would rather set off for there than Stevenage.

  29. The number of deaths seems to be irrelevant where BoJo and Hancock apply the lockdown rules. It is determined purely, it would seem, on the number of new cases per day. The Mayor of Leicester complained about this as they had a falling death rate, and falling admissions to hospital but a rising number of new cases. Whether the number of new cases reported is directly linked to the number of tests per day you carry out would seem probable based on the law of averages, and so if you suddenly introduce a higher testing regime then the results will reflect this. Where you should be concerned is i

  37. And at the start of JF's reign (mainly the back end of the season before the last one) we were getting results so it was worth the turgid performances. When he got a full season to park the bus and play for 0-0's however that good will soon disappeared. You are right that results are most important, however when we don't get them, damn, its hard to watch a team bleeding the clock and doing the same things on every corner/throw. JF's football matched his personality - dour.

  42. You would think that the PFA should be the ones showing some leadership over this and trying to protect the long term interests of the players and not just the short term honey pot which we all know is going to disappear at some point. By creating a sustainable future with stable employment for players in the EFL1 and below there is more for everyone to go around. If clubs were then not going through peaks and troughs, mainly troughs, then it could be increased in time if it can be shown to be beneficial to the game.
