When a player puts on a Halifax Town shirt and comes out with the others onto The Shay, he is a Shayman, nothing more, nothing less. The majority of fans do not want to hear about what he gets up to anywhere else or in his private life.

It would with harsher penalties. Putin has said 2 choices. 1.Stay at home for 15 days. 2.Or prison for 5 years. It, s not the virus spreading. It, s people spreading it..

I've been for runs on my lunch break both yesterday and today as my daily exercise for 45 minutes. Yesterday from Salterhebble to Sowerby Bridge and back on the canal. Today through Siddal, Exley, Elland and West Vale. For all the people slagging others off for not observing the guidelines, in my experience around here, people ARE. I'm yet to pass a group larger than 2 adults, people are staying a good distance away from each other, being polite, having manners, being patient, and respecting the seriousness of the situation. People will always focus on and talk about the **** people are doing, but there's a hell of a large percentage of the local and wider population doing really good things at the moment and doing all they can to end this crisis.

The Shaymen win this relegation 6 pointer and in the process do the double over Altrincham for the season. Both teams ultimately went down to the Vanarama National League North come season's end. Altrincham got relegated again the next season to the Unibond Premier and Town of course won their National League status back via the playoffs.

I can never understand why people think that Football Clubs are anything other than businesses. Anyone who has ever been a Director of a reasonably sized company understands very well the pros and cons. People on the shop floor seem to think that every Director is absolutely minted. Football Clubs get far more leniency from many quarters that the average business does. Being the Director of a Football Club must be one of the hardest positions to put yourself in, the fan base expect money to be poured in with no return. Very naive. If you invest in something then yes you fully understand the pitfalls, but the real main objective is to make money. We happen to have a very good BoD. Worth bearing in mind.

No Town can keep the money, if the season has finished I'm more than happy with the highs and lows we had. It was exiting wondering if TSS could stay on his feet or If Jeff King could make a whole game with out getting booked, would Big Sam pick a pass or just launch the ball down field to the opposition centre back. It was / has been a blast so far and I cant wait to get back down to the Shay to get going again. One thing that someone said to me at the last home game against Ebbsfleet and it set me thinking and for future reference needs to be looked at. Due to the unusual circumstances the game was played under, Town, not for the first time offered a £10 entry fee to any person from another club if they showed their season ticket. Good Idea in principal, but I know at least 3 people who go to the Shay very regularly who dont have a season ticket. They dont have one for a variety of reasons, work tends to be the main issue, but I do think it's unfair on these guys who then have to pay the full entry fee. Town have done this before and it is a good way of enticing fans from other clubs to a game, but we have to find a way of being loyal to our own regulars who dont have the season tickets.

The trouble is that far too many people only care about themselves. Don't give a dam about anybody else just look after number one. Then when a terrible virus hits the population and we are told to stay in and look after ourselves but also, at the same time, by isolating, we're asked to look after others, the last bit just doesn't compute. Look after others? Nah, I'm off out to get pissed with my mates innit. Scumbags the lot of them.

Nice one icke and like you Football does not exit just a case of making through to the next season whenever that will be, had the first domestic with Mrs Funky over of all things coat hangers, one came airbourne my way but I just said you will have to do better than that as I pluck it as it whizzed past me which seemed to make her more mad, funny when your the voice of reason seems to make them more mad.

Used to play in them. Hopefully we won't be hit hard up hear. Apparently it's only 7 cases as of yesterday in calderdale and we are on lockdown now so let's hope it stays low into next week and we'll start seeing the benefits of lockdown. Today has really hit home to me about it all. I've got asthma and have had a tight chest this afternoon and with that came "panic!" And so started a vicious cycle for the evening but thankfully I'm calm and relaxed now. It's just regular asthma in the spring with maybe a bit of early pollen thrown in. I'm up for the long haul but what else hit me is that I live on my own. I won't bloody see any mates for months on end. Some heartbreaking videos of loss and grief doing the rounds too which were quite upsetting but I suppose we are in this pickle and if we all act reyt we will get out of it. I'm really not missing the football if I'm honest and I don't care at this moment in time. I just want us all to pull through and enjoy the pi$$ up whenever it maybe. Stay safe and if you know anybody flouting it then give them an absolute bollocking.

The country doesn't have the capacity to test everyone via the traditional taking-of-blood, test-in-a-lab method. It would be a mammoth undertaking, that's why such hope is pinned on these self-test thingies BoJo keeps going on about. They should have set up testing stations for those who showed even minor symptoms, allowing them to be quarantined much earlier, which I suspect is where Germany is doing it differently. On a separate note, I see the top 4 German clubs have decided to gift the rest of German football their share of this season's TV money, less than £20m between them. It highlights two things, how rich the Premier League is compared to other major European leagues (and yet still somehow don't dominate as they should), and how deathly quiet most of our Premier League clubs are while other major European clubs are stepping up.

The threat of prison doesn't work when most countries are releasing prisoners due to staff shortages (disguised as either humanitarian reasons or in order to prevent a spread). The threat of prison is much scarier in Russia and China than in the UK. Lock down won't work as effectively here, though still seems to be the most effective course of action. Agree that people are the root problem.

Russia does have cases. Wuhan isn't "suddenly free" of it. The virus has mutated at least twice since January, and any 'cure' previously prepared may not work against the mutated strains. Don't get me wrong, the conspiracy theory isn't far from what we would reasonably expect from a country like Russia or China, but I don't see why they wouldn't unload it on the States directly rather than their own people - just the propaganda value of clearing it all up and building a hospital? Hard to believe.

Just copied this from F Book. THE GREAT CHINESE STAGE 1. Create a virus and the antidote. 2. Spread the virus. 3. A demonstration of efficiency, building hospitals in a few days. After all, you were already prepared, with the projects, ordering the equipment, hiring the labor, the water and sewage network, the prefabricated building materials and stocked in an impressive volume. 4. Cause chaos in the world, starting with Europe. 5. Quickly plaster the economy of dozens of countries. 6. Stop production lines in factories in other countries. 7. Cause stock markets to fall and buy companies at a bargain price. 8. Quickly control the epidemic in your country. After all, you were already prepared. 9. Lower the price of commodities, including the price of oil you buy on a large scale. 10. Get back to producing quickly while the world is at a standstill. Buy what you negotiated cheaply in the crisis and sell more expensive what is lacking in countries that have paralyzed their industries. After all, you read more Confucius than Karl Marx. *PS: Before laughing, read the book by Chinese colonels Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, from 1999, “Unrestricted Warfare: China’s master plan to destroy America”, on Amazon, then we talk. It's all there.* Worth pondering.. Just Think about this... How come Russia & North Korea are totally free of Covid- 19? Because they are staunch ally of China. Not a single case reported from this 2 countries. On the other hand South Korea / United Kingdom / Italy / Spain and Asia are severely hit. How come Wuhan is suddenly free from the deadly virus? China will say that their drastic initial measures they took was very stern and Wuhan was locked down to contain the spread to other areas. I am sure they are using the Anti dode of the virus. Why Beijing was not hit? Why only Wuhan? Kind of interesting to ponder upon.. right? Well ..Wuhan is open for business now. America and all the above mentioned countries are devastated financially. Soon American economy will collapse as planned by China. China knows it CANNOT defeat America militarily as USA is at present THE MOST POWERFUL country in the world. So use the virus...to cripple the economy and paralyse the nation and its Defense capabilities. I'm sure Nancy Pelosi got a part in this. . to topple Trump. Lately President Trump was always telling of how GREAT American economy was improving in all fronts. The only way to destroy his vision of making AMERICA GREAT AGAIN is to create an economic havoc. Nancy Pelosi was unable to bring down Trump thru impeachment. ....so work along with China to destroy Trump by releasing a virus. Wuhan,s epidemic was a showcase. At the peak of the virus epidemic. .. China's President Xi Jinping...just wore a simple RM1 facemask to visit those effected areas. As President he should be covered from head to toe.....but it was not the case. He was already injected to resist any harm from the virus....that means a cure was already in place before the virus was released. Some may ask....Bill Gates already predicted the outbreak in 2015...so the chinese agenda cannot be true. The answer is. ..YES...Bill Gates did predict. .but that prediction is based on a genuine virus outbreak. Now China is also telling that the virus was predicted well in advance. ....so that its agenda would play along well to match that prediction. China,s vision is to control the World economy by buying up stocks now from countries facing the brink of severe ECONOMIC COLLAPSE. Later China will announce that their Medical Researchers have found a cure to destroy the virus. Now China have other countries stocks in their arsenal and these countries will soon be slave to their master...CHINA. Just Think about it ... The Doctor Who declared this virus was also Silenced by the Chinese Authorities... Thoughts?? Book.

Being from that area for 27 years of my life, playing against them year in, year out, he sort of has. Even the locals of Tamworth call themselves 'Tamuff', just like folk from Bedworth call their club and town 'Beduff'. If you said ''I'm off to Tam-worth for a bit'', people would probably wonder what such a toff was on about.

It's like I said right at the beginning. The difference between the UK and China, Singapore and similar places, is that people over there know when to do as they're told. Too many people in the UK have no respect for authority - often for very good reason it has to be said - but a lock down in the UK was never going to work the same as a lock down in China.

Do we get many in Halifax? Leeds is usually swarming with them, but i think a lot are students or people who are visiting them. York I could understand seeing high numbers, as it will probably be one of those places that appears on their world tour schedule of 14 countries in 12 days.

They never have been much good with body counts. This from an article in The New Yorker about The Chinese in Northern Italy. The strangest accusation was that the Chinese in Tuscany weren’t dying—or, at least, that they weren’t leaving any bodies behind. In 1991, the regional government began an investigation into why, during the previous twelve months, not a single Chinese death had been officially recorded in Prato or in two nearby towns. In 2005, the government was still mystified—that year, more than a thousand Chinese arrivals were registered, and only three deaths. Locals suspected that Chinese mobsters were disposing of corpses in exchange for passports, which they then sold to new arrivals, a scheme that took advantage of the native population’s apparent inability to tell any one Chinese person from another. As the cost of a season ticket was so cheap and worked out at way below the admission price to a game I would be very surprised if anyone wanted a refund with only three games left. I know us Yorkshire people are renowned for being tight but come on we're not that tight are we?

Trev, congratulations, you, or whoever pointed you in the direction of, have found the one single webpage on the whole of gov.uk that has not been updated. It's a bit like it used to be when finding a tin of beans in the supermarket with the wrong price on it. Yes, that tin was at a different price but the rest of the tins of beans were at a different price, and the till system highlighted the error. The one wrong price did not override the inescapable fact that the majority price was the correct one. Rather than people being accused of being sheep, I would be more concerned for someone who believed that finding an error in a mammoth website felt that this constituted some kind of cover up or conspiracy theory, rather than what it appears to be - a webpage that has not been updated in the last week, and using this as a reason to propose that we should all go against the overriding advice from the medical experts. On top of this that age old fact about using your noggin should be kicking in rather than trying to go against the blindingly obvious and conforming with the majority of the sensible people in the country.

Have to admire & take your hat off to anyone who works in the medical profession dealing with the situation on a daily basis, respect to you all. One issue which bugs me is that the NHS are having to negotiate beds & prices with private hospitals, in this time of crisis they should be commandeered at absolute basic cost.
