  3. The club tweets about lack of signings

You can joke but supporters want a bit of a buzz. A bit of encouragement that there is a good season ahead. A sign that a solid squad is being built and that there wont be a repeat of last seasons dirge.
  4. The club tweets about lack of signings

Just got off the phone with DB. I specifically told him to sign some men. He said there’s no need to panic because the season doesn’t start until August, but I made it quite clear that if he doesn’t have a squad of 20 by this Saturday he can’t expect to sell any more season tickets. Watch this space.

It was the chairman himself. ”When asked what happens if the club doesn’t sell the required number of season-tickets, Bsomworth said: “This doesn’t impact on (our) playing budget. We’re saying ‘this is what we’re trying to build off the field” But in a today’s interview and a later one he said we needed people buying tickets for the budget. So go figure.
  6. The club tweets about lack of signings

Players have been signed, players will be signed..The sun is expected this weekend, go and bloody enjoy it
  7. The club tweets about lack of signings

Who said before that season ticket money didn’t affect playing budget? (I may have dreamt that) It is clearly wrong.  DB clearly doesn’t understand that people might buy a season ticket if they had a team to watch. Announcing that a couple of crowd pleasing signings might just boost season ticket sales. Swings in roundabouts. Does he not remember that to sell a mini he had to buy one first?
  8. The club tweets about lack of signings

It comes back to the chicken an egg in a way. Supporters want to see signings; club needs season ticket money to know what resources they can put towards wages. I appreciate some will say that a support should be buying a season ticket regardless, but thats not how it works.

Their is also a courier story about winning a season ticket. Mr B is disappointed about the number of season tickets sold. Said he was hoping at this stage to be at around 900 sold, but we are only around 600. He did counter by saying that a majority were new season ticket holders for the first time. No inklings of any signings and not hitting season ticket target is a bit of a depressing start to a Thursday!

So it looks like what TJ says is true then?Proved a lot of the know it all,s on here wrong. The club will struggle to attract decent players.Simply because they don't pay the wages..
  12. The club tweets about lack of signings

DB’s courier interview confirms we haven’t signed anyone.  I take his point that the bills are paid but why go full time ish if the budget isn’t there to improve our lot on the field? Better team = better results = better crowds = more money in or am I wrong? Can’t rely on selling players to enhance the budget if we don’t have any in the first place.
  13. Lionesses v Japan

We had qualified for the last 16 with a group game to spare, this was the final group game.

  17. Twitter Quiz Question 2

  18. Darlington

Aye, if you work hard you'll win more than you lose.
  19. Darlington

Winning comes from hard work.  May not be the glamour team but hard work can beat any prima donna team.
  20. The club tweets about lack of signings

That was always me, but i don't think anyone felt sorry for me.  I was always one of the first for the rugby league team.

I don't think Lok themselves are right wing as a club, the owners have tried repeatedly to distance themselves and issue bans. The majority of fans are alright I guess. That's the way things are in Germany's lower leagues, probably for the better that they can't really impose order and often let fans express themselves, or more like vent in crazy ways on the terraces. The local neo-nazis probably choose to support Lok cos it allows them to antagonise Chemie who are left and proud. That considered, yeah I would still rather see Lok do well as opposed to Red Bu... oh wait, I mean Lawn Ball Sports Leipzig.

If it is trolling then I expect a warning from the mod. #inconsistency
  24. The club tweets about lack of signings

All that energy used to moan and they can’t even use a bit of it to click a few buttons and purchase a season ticket.
  25. Edwards

Just leave the signing of players to the professionals. Do your bit and buy a season ticket!
