How close is the football ground to Ashton Under Lyne train station? (is it walkable?) I've just phoned up Curzon Ashton to ask but the secretary must be on the bog

About 15 mins (i think). Try googling for post codes and enter into a Journey Planner.

It's okay, I was too quick to jest about Curzon. Their guy in the office called me back. 10 minutes walk from the station to the ground, according to him. Full steam ahead :D

From Leeds to Ashton Under Lyne it's roughly £12 return changing at Staly. If any Leeds-based fans want to join my spin-off expedition, give me a shout.

We Halifax based fans go from Huddersfield for the return cost of £9.20.
