30th of April

Recommended Posts

OFootball in England and Wales has now been suspended until the 30th of April.

No chance of their being a game befire May in my opinion.

I doubt we'll see another ball kicked but we shall see. 8

That's not the National League though is it? I presume it's more awkward as the regular season is done by then so their will be the contract issues

I think they'll follow suit soon. Same thing happened before.

I honestly can't see another game being played this season.

If they scrap the season it's so unfair on Barrow.

The Lower leagues are dependent upon FL promotions and relegations

I think they will finish this season and possibly have a truncated season next year where you either play everyone once or have no cups in order to start fresh again in August 2021.

How can anyone predict anything at all when we have no idea how long this crap's going to go on?

Exactly . Premier and FL are in talks with Sky regarding the possibility of live screening behind closed doors games which 'could' see them conclude their seasons

If it is suspended until 30 April, then there are no games before May! It wasn’t that difficult to come to your opinion was it?!!

Reading the BBC website on the situation it says that the season is suspended until at least the 30th April, but the PL clubs were unanimous in wanting to have the season concluded with an indefinite extension to achieve this.

Interestingly, the critical date appears to be the 30th June, as this is the date when the players contracts end and typically sponsorship contracts end.

And we all have to follow suit with the Premier League.

I suppose it would be unfair on Liverpool because they've absolutely walked it. I'm surprised bookies haven't already paid out.

The EFL were part of the talks, as obviously it affects the teams who should be promoted to the PL and those who would be going the other way.

They could always offer one of those "cashout" things were they agree to say Liverpool have won the league but they pay out on lower odds
