Dover Game

Yes, and no... It covers the whole area (or . is supposed to) and they give Guiseley a fair bit of airtime, or at least, they did when they were at this level. Obviously Leeds, Bradford and . Huddersfield are the priorities for them, but it's ridiculous how little they care about us.

That’s expected but the programme in question is called West Yorkshire Sports. No excuse....

With goals in the team then a few issues at the back and in midfield can be papered over; as evident from last 2 results being 5-2 and 4-2 ; without R&R could have been 1-2 in both

Can Allan be shoe-horned into the starting line-up , at least at home, - would prob mean going to 4-3-3 and need Browny back, and Williams on the bench.  I suspect PW wouldn't want that big a change while the good run goes on

Not sure how Rodney doesn't play at League level; but he clearly loves playing for Town, and the fans love him, so both can enjoy the ride through the rest of the season

Rode our luck at times but finished the game off very professionally. Great subs from the manager too.

Great result despite a mostly iffy performance especially 1st half.

It was good to see the pace of Allen and Rodney get in behind so much in the last 20 whixh could have seen a bigger scoreline.

Bit lucky at times though and thought the 3rd Dover equalizer should have stood as Sam just got out jumped. But from that momenr we ran them ragged.

Onto Bromley and a win wouls really cement our play off place.

Very much a game of two halves. Punting the ball to the smallest player on the pitch was never going to work, particularly against a tall and very effective centre-half partnership. The introduction of Allen and playing the ball on the deck with players running at that same pairing showed what this team is capable of. Redshaw wasn't his usual effective self (not sure if that early knock had an effect) but I'm sure he'll profit from a similar shift in style on Saturday.
Binnom-Williams was his usual self. Excellent at times. And often truly awful. I was pleased he was able to make amends for the own goal. He lost a former teammate at the weekend and we perhaps shouldn't underestimate the impact that could have had on him.
I thought Williams was excellent in the second half. Also pleased to see King play another 90 minutes and stay effective for all of them.
Great noise from the South Stand and an impeccably observed silence. The 25 minutes chants and applause worked too. Fourth in the table, they should get at Bromley early, keep it on the ground and kick on.

Indeed!

Rodney is a classic example of some players just click for certain clubs, and he does that here

Hopefully plays at league level with the mighty Shaymen!

dare to dream

Think the guy missed a game not long before Christmas after losing at least one family member as well.

Wasn’t on top form but he can be forgiven that at the moment. Still scored a fantastic header and created the first goal with a brilliant ball out to King, so not a game without it’s high points either.

Wasn’t there ..but if the weather was as bad as reported .. then mistakes will happen

Binnon Williams is really not a back three player .. so just recognise he is filling in for brown.. hope brown is back for Bromley if not then a loan player might be called for

but great result

Forgot about their disallowed goal. Looked a very soft foul from south stand. Would be interested to see that one again. Thought the ref was poor in general. How Allen didn't get that penalty and a red card for the Dover player i'll never know. It was blatant

We should have had a penalty and their man sent off when Allen was dragged down when clear on goal.

Bang on. Allen was clean through. No need for him to go down looking for anything. Looked as clear a penalty as could be to me.

Ref and liner got that one wrong, Allen was through why would he chuck himself on the deck.

A poor two months under our belt and we are just 8 points off the top.

There will be ups and downs between now and the end of the season but we are doing very well at the moment. If we can try cement a playoff spot and then look to get as high up in them as possible the better.

What is pleasing to me is that, ignoring the top of the table, we are 5 points off dropping out of the Playoffs (albeit with two teams with a game in hand). That in theory gives us 1 free week where we can mess up but still be in the playoff spot. If we can keep pace or even better increase the gap between ourselves and the spot outside the playoffs, in relation to points, the better.

Bromley on Saturday will be a very strong indicator of where we are. We owe them one for the way their club treated our fans in the away game, along with the 5-0 second half thrashing we got. If we can get the win against them it pushes the gap wider, as they are just below us in the table. Win that one and we are well on course to feel like a playoff spot is achievable.

Absolutely enjoyed every minute of tonight, especially the 2nd half when we really stepped on the gas.

Great substitutions at the right time

Fair play to Dover as they gave it a right go.

Crazy league and will probably finish crazy.

Just enjoining the ride.

Great win

Allen was outstanding when he came on but at the moment and in the current formation there really isn't a weak link.

Looking forward to Saturday

Their disallowed goal the striker made no attempt for the ball, just hindered Big Sam and was rightly penalised . Not got a clue why it wasn't a penalty for the foul on Allen but if it's any consolation we'd have missed the penalty

Four goals and we didn’t have much possession. What a side we could be if only we could keep possession.

We had 50% possession last night. Staunton was Courier's MOTM again. With our three centre backs and Allen's great performance, is there a case for him starting Saturday with just Staunton as a defensive midfielder? Or is that crazy talk?

What a side Leicester in 2015/16 could've been if they could only keep possession!
