Not as bad as  voting for Brexit and being ignored. Hypocritical Labourites.

But it's the tories in power, and it's the tories that have in the main blocked all the brexit deals(erg). There is no point in brexit, its unicorns.

Agreed, I'm not saying otherwise. I'm saying that his outright refusal to move from his own way of doing things is preventing him from becoming prime minister.

Kinnock was too left wing. When Blair took over from John Smith (after his death) he took the party more to the centre hence the 1997 landslide. I think on the whole we are a moderate and centrist country. Had Labour currently being more centre-left than hard left, they would have been storming the polls.

I'm glad you mentioned John Smith because he helped to put Labour on the right track and he was a great leader. If he'd been around now Johnson wouldn't stand a chance.

Kinnock is one of the few people in life that has impressed me as a guest speaker at a charity dinner prior to him becoming PM, so when he did become PM I was expecting big things what a disaster.

A Champagne Socialist of the highest order and coining it in lazing around the EU, most of his family also on the gravy train with Hoddie.

His son is very likely to follow in the same vein.

Not sure but did not John Smith die suddenly, went on a ferry to a island where he was buried and think it was called Iona  which was a beautiful peaceful place. Was told that his grave is the only one facing out to sea, just been told by Mrs Funky that its only the grave stone and he was in fact buried at Westminster Abbey.

Just watched a party political broadcast by the Brexit Party. How refreshing to see a good honest politician Nigel Farage telling it like it really is. I hope one day Nigel will be PM then for once we will have a leader we can respect and trust.

They do not want to hear how it is, they prefer fantasy from those who have conned them time and time again.

One thing that hasn't been noted so far ( at least I haven't seen it) is that England have only won the World Cup under a Labour government,so as Qatar will come in the cycle of the next parliament is this an important consideration?

For the sake of balance I should note that in my lifetime all 4 defeats in major tournaments (90,96,18&19)have come under Conservative administration's. However, it was under a Labour government that we also relinquished our hold on the Jules Rimet!

I've had this horrible vision of us winning the most corrupt and bloodstained World Cup played in stadiums that mark the tombs of hundreds of dead slaves. It would just be typical for us to win it in the one tournament where I wish there were a full international boycott.

Phew. Well, if it makes you feel any better we won't win it.

I think we've just found our excuse.........

For England to win the world cup, I'd consider it a price  WELL worth paying :o
