That's what I thought but oddschecker says we will come fourth from the bottom

Indeed look at Leicester 5000/1 and look what happened.

Also, when I see the word defense I think of Oliver North.

I wouldn’t worry about odds checker, tinpot

they still have Gateshead in 9th....

usual cash cows aka Solihull and Fylde will be up there but other than that I can see it been an open league next season

Chesterfield should be top 7.

At this level far more players are on one year contracts than in the divisions above, so naturally there’s far greater change in playing staff between seasons and the inevitable consequence of that lack of continuity is teams’ results can vary massively from one season to the next.

Bookies seem not to understand this

it worth a tenner

At this stage, I think it just random odds to tempt a few punters to have a dabble when they normally wouldn`t.

Keeps the cashflow going as whatever the result, they can sit on (and invest) the monies for the best part of a year.

The odds will settle quickly enough. At this point they'll be based on last season's league positions, any stand-out bits of news about investment and signings, and the amount of early bets being placed. The more bets placed, the more settled the odds will become. The longer the odds, the fewer the bets they're receiving for that team.

Our final finishing position in National League last season was 15 th after Gateshead had points knocked off and finished 17th instead of 9th  don't know whether its been mentioned on here or not.

Alan Alger is very involved at Betway and has always had a very close grasp of our league, I don't proof check his predictions but at some point he normally does a full prediction of how he thinks the final table will look

National League markets are almost always based on where the money’s going.

Given low volume of bets, that’s based on fans of each team lumping on and punters having heard of them.

I barely ever bet, but that’s why there’s always value to be had in betting against your Wrexham’s, Notts County’s of this world. Every tom, dick and harry has bunged them in an accumulator and made them far shorter than they should be.

Can you ask him which 6 it will be this season so I know where to put my money?
