Good luck to Tranmere in the League 2 play off final. They put out another plastic team in FGR tonight. Nice to see class win.

Well done Tranmere. Who do they play on the final, Mansfield or Newport?

Newport County second lowest budget in EFL, Shows what can be done when you have a great Manager and tremendous team spirit, Proves all those on here who think money and budget are the only ingredients when it comes to the success of building a good team.

Let’s hope haligonian Liam Ridehalgh lasts a bit longer on the pitch this year!

I hope he does a "Nathan Clarke" and signs for his home town club in a year or two.

Left back too, could be in for a shout. Contracts up too, and if they get promoted then they'll have a clear out. We may be in for a good summer !

A player on the brink of league 1 is not going to be coming here, home town or not he'll have far better options if he leaves Tranmere.

Absolute toilet head that guy. Loves being the centre of attention which is usually what a ref doesn't want.

Yes, he looks ridiculous. A man of that position should not be in that position.

Mansfield Town sack David Flitcroft that is the price for failure with a team that has a big budget and big expectations to go up ,Proves money cannot buy you everything.

Can't help thinking that it's all a bit contrived. That he did it because he knew the picture would be all over social media. Probably one eye on a job in the 'media' as a 'character' when he's done reffing. It'll be part of his intro when he's a on a 'Soccer Sofa' (™ Half Man Half Biscuit)

That would be a good signing but it would all boil down to if we could afford his wages.

It would be a real coup if we pulls that signing off and what a defence we'd have.

Spent that money on a new training ground unlike some stupid clubs who would just waste the money on players.

Did they?  The manager was quoted saying the people who owned the place they trained had remedial works planned for the pitch and they had nowhere to train

Exactly what I thought. And he sad thing is he’ll probably be better than that halfwit Peter Walton on BT
