How can they be that good if they are been released from a club in a lower division?

Look at the likes of that 25 goal striker released from Chelmosford , I think.

Probably wages, agents and in many cases the player will have his eyes on another club

Josh Askew from Slaford has just liked one of our posts along with Rodney, strange of Askew but maybe a potential signing

I take it you are expecting Mr B to really open up the purse strings. Any Salford player will be on a damn sight more wages than we can afford especially when teams like Chesterfield, Notts County and Yeovil with their parachute payments and clubs like Stockpot not to mention the other clubs in this league with bigger budgets will be sniffing around.

Not many players at this level will have amassed enough wealth to be able to take a pay cut even if it guarantees them first team football.

For Rodney, he's still young. He could become another cult-hero, loved by the fans, be a guaranteed starter and make a huge move next Summer in the same vein of Gregory and Vardy. For a young player, confidence is huge. We could be the platform to big, big things.

Or.. He could join a biggish club at this level and have to prove himself. Be a bit part player, probably picking up a bigger wage, but not getting the chances to prove himself and sticking at this level or League 2 as his confidence will be knocked not playing every week.

So. Stick with us, play week in, week out. Be loved by fans and get a big move with more money (matter of time). Or go somewhere new, play a bit, move clubs and repeat.

If you're reading this Rodderz, pls sign. You could be a FCHT legend!

Wouldnt imagine Askew is on big money. Came from Ramsbottom and was on loan at Ashton United this season.

Rodney more than Duku although would happily have both. I do however feel Southwell could have a role to play up front with either one of these two

Stockport County are not big spenders and won’t be just because they get decent crowds they will be fishing in the same bowl as us ,They have no money men behind them but have a Manager who’s good at finding talent.

All well and good going for them but doubt they will come. Can see most of them ending up at League Two or top end national league teams.

Duku probably the only realistic one at this moment in time. Even that depends on what sort of fee Cheltenham are commanding.

Hardy could be a possibility depending on if he gets released. Can’t see any of the others happening personally

Maybe have a chance with Hardy if deemed too lightweight for Fyldes long term ambitions, similar issue if we consider him, think we need to upsize. Would suspect Duku realistic as Cheltenham probably just want to offload, more does he want to come North.

Can see Duku ending up at either ourselves or Barnet considering he did reasonably well with both of us. Like you say, it could depend on where he’d prefer to be located

Was it ever explained why Duku rarely managed 90 minutes in a game for us?

Rodney the favourite.

I would like Town to cast the net wider than ex-loan players, players we’ve seen once and someone from Halifax playing in a League 2 play off final.

But I thought they were the only players we are allowed to sign?
