Amazing enough as it stands like this we are equally far from relegation as we are the playoffs!

Good result to end a disappointing season, when we played too deep, too often, even taking injuries into account. I believe a more positive attitude would have seen more points won over the Season. Fingers crossed JF can deliver the more positive style of play next Season, that we were promised this Season.

Att 1891 no away fans given

An attendance that would make Micky Steal blush! A subdued home “crowd” looking very sparse compared to our last two clashes. Can’t have been 50 left in the terrace when the Flyde players returned for their lap of honour in the wind and rain.

An FA Trophy final at Wembley ahead as well as playoffs into the EFL (three years above their target). A new stadium that didn’t come cheap. The top scorer in the league three or four seasons on the bounce. Sort-of derby game.

Oh yeah, and the Oystons have left Blackpool. Context is everything...

Great win today and a great way to end the season I thought Cameron King was excellent today ,Brown and Clarke there usual performances and Sam Johnson a very quiet day for him but things look very easy as always.

Really good win which in all honesty does show Fullarton's credentials, that he's playing all out against a side who're giving it a rest for the final week. Not the best ethos I don't think, and we won at a canter, quite the mirror image of the previous fixture here.

Very heartening to get the sense that it's the beginning of the end for Flyde. With the Oystons thankfully out of football, their "fans" have returned to their natural homes. As have Fleetwood's, who apparently took a few hundred to Blackpool (about as much as we took for this dead rubber game). All those tens of millions of pounds spent, eh. Oh well, for every £250k one club gains from selling a Lee Gregory, another club loses £250k because an official took a shine to a cam girl. Ho hum!

It showed up how bad Flyde were when Hardy beat Johnson and still missed. He was good for us but what a moment.

We finish the season 16th, off the top of my head the same position as last season, but with 59 points, having won as many as we've lost, and with a goal difference of +1 (better than Eastleigh's who are in the playoffs), which shows our value. There's a lot of work to do next season and for how dispiriting and blood-sucking this one's been, we'll have already made progress if our first close-season signings are better than Odelusi and McLeod. Time to cover the basics, beat the mediocrity and we'll find some of that entertainment we've been desperately lacking along the way.

The team needs building around Johnson, Brown, Clarke and King. If Rodney could be kept on that would be a massive coup. Duckworth and Hanson are capable at Right back and if Josh MacDonald is anything like he was he will be like a new signing.

Hopefully the manager has seen that powderpuff, fancy dans from Football League academy’s don’t always cut it at this level and a bit of Strength and Guile are enough.

As dross as a lot of games have been this season it isn’t a major clear out you need and if half the draws were wins you are pretty much in the play offs.

With the length of time this season has seemed to drag on for I for one hope the summer does the same. I need an awful long time to recuperate before the worry that next season might be in the same mold as this was.

It’s almost like contracts are up for players.

Heading home on the train last night our youth really showed themselves up. Fair enough sing your heads off but the mess that was left was disgusting. If they can't handle drink then don't bother drinking. They were throwing up in the toilets. People were on the train getting covered in sick. I moved into one carriage to find four seats covered in sick. The train guard nearly stopped the train due to health and safety reasons. Disgusting behaviour by our young fans.

Good finish to the season and a well deserved victory. Berrett and King impressive in midfield and Preston's best performance in a Town shirt. Big Sam and the back four steady as usual even tho Browny still thought James Hardy played for us late on and was rescued by Clarkey. Nice touch by Browny at the end giving the young lad his shirt at the end and we all now eageley await news of players signing and resigning.

Good to read. On the whole, I'm reluctant to join the clamour for a clearout of half the squad. Yes, strengthening is certainly needed in some areas such as up front and in midfield, but how many of these players will come on and develop from the experience of this season and benefit from both managerial and broader squad continuity?

Ok mr negative. Not sure what you are trying to achieve by this post. Im sure 100s of people were sick on public transport up and down the country yesterday.  Im not condoning it but it happens and no need to tarnish the excellent support we had yesterday.

This is nothing to do with the majority of our supporters. It's the usual minority that are a disgrace. It looks bad on the club when others who are travelling home have to put up with the behaviour. I'm all for fans going away, having a good laugh and going home happy after what was a very good win. This lot put our club in a bad light.
