Over to you DB? Give some of the fans a bit of festive cheer and let's try and boost the crowd for both matches.

We could still put out the offer though. To get in for £15 against Sutton you have to attend on Tuesday.

The game won't be on lad. If you try looking at the forecast you'll see why

It was frozen rain yesterday and as someone who lives on a hillside and had to walk home its bloody dangerous. The Shay is also one of the highest grounds in the country. If we'd have been at home yesterday we'd have had at least a pitch inspection. Infact Brighouses game was posponed not too far away.

To be fair Brighouse's pitch is not the best, even in good weather.

Not joining you, no. I might go to the games though. I'll see how I feel Tuesday. That's if the game is on.

You are right, Oldham behind them but Buxton is higher than both if you count non league grounds.

I'll wager that Beacon Hill, Queensbury Mountain and an whole shedload of other Calderdale outposts are a shade higher than the Shay

I used to umpire in the Bradford League 86 to 96. Doing Queensbury v Keighley match first game of season Peter Hartley bowling at my end with 3 sweaters on. It was bloody freezing. Just in case anyone says whats that got to do with 2 for £30, you could get 2 sweaters for £30 in them days.

I collected insurance at Queensbury Mountain and the Raggalds Inn and had to walk home when the car had to be abandoned on two occasions.

I played for Union Croft, who then joined up with Queensbury to form one club.

I then played for Northowram in the Bradford Central League (under 18's and then a bit for the second team.) They have now joined together with Fields from Bradford and are called Northowram Fields and they play in the Yorkshire League.

Well, the game is tomorrow and no news of any offer. Someone needs a visit from the ghost of Christmas past.
